Dear Mary,
We wish to express our deep appreciation and sincere thanks for your comforting care of Gary (Fizzy). You have gone over and beyond the call of duty. Your kind expression of sympathy will not be forgotten.

The entire team at St. Joseph Villa Homecare & Hospice is very professional and compassionate. All the therapists, occupational, physical, and speech, especially Lindsay, were talented and creative in their job field. Their kindness and patience shown to Fizzy was impressive. Chaplain Stephan is a very lovable man. He gave me a new perspective on dying. Stephen knew and experienced the loss of a loved one. God bless him in his vocation of life.

As Director of St. Joe Villa Homecare & Hospice, you have created an exemplary organization. Job well done!
My family has been blessed that you have been an integral part in this chapter of life.
Hopefully, a new friendship has been created as well.

From gratefully us - to wonderful you!

Dear Mr. Leguillow:
I am Edmunda’s oldest daughter writing on behalf of myself, my husband, my sisters and our brother and his wife. Thank you and your staff for the professional and compassionate care provided by the St. Joseph Villa staff members to our mother during the last days of her life.
Mom lived at St. Joseph’s from July 26 to August 19, 2014. Going to the nursing home was a difficult transition for her and for us, as we had promised to keep her in her own home for as long as possible. She was unhappy on the day she arrived, but relaxed when staff members were friendly and welcoming. The caregivers working directly with her were helpful and cheery, introducing themselves and helping her acclimate. They were flexible and understanding with our family, answering our many questions and helping to quell our fears and concerns. We were all feeling vulnerable at that point, their kindness was reassuring.
When we visited, we could see that she was making friends among both staff and residents. The interactions with staff continued to grow as she went to physical therapy, got her cable TV hooked up, ate in the dining room instead of her room, and enjoyed the pampering of the hair stylist, to mention only a few of the services that made her happy. Within a few days she was adjusting, feeling more comfortable and even joking with others.
Her final days were peaceful; the staff showed great empathy and it was easy to see they genuinely cared for her. Your nurses administering hospice were truly advocates for her, anticipating her needs, communicating with us about her needs and keeping her comfortable – all while remaining calm and reassuring. We appreciated that they were gentle with her, spoke directly to her even when she couldn’t respond; treating her with the dignity we wanted for her.
We also appreciate your personal involvement, specifically the arrangements for her to be moved to a room by herself. This gave us more privacy and the opportunity to be alone with her in her final hours.
It was difficult to say goodbye to mom, yet you and your staff helped make that experience peaceful. We are so very grateful. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Giana

Dear staff of St. Joseph Villa,
Words cannot express how grateful and thankful I am for the care of my father, Michael. I spent his last week with him and was with him when he passed. I saw the spirit in all of you as you cared for “Mr. Mike” and all the other residents. And you cared for me, too. It’s difficult to be at the bedside of a parent as they pass, but my goal was for Dad not to be alone. You were all so kind and loving to me, and very gentle, whenever you cared for Dad. For that, I will always have comforting memories of St. Joe’s. I could not have asked for anything better!

With much fondness for all of you,
Shannon (Michael’s daughter)

Dear St. Joseph Villa,
My father just moved into your facility in Omaha, St. Joseph Villa, today. I had to email someone immediately after we left him. Lee J. and his staff are amazing people. Lee was the most amazing person to my father and family. It takes special people to do their job and they seem to be so good at what they do. Lee was helpful, informative, funny, and caring. Honestly, he sold your facility to my family and more importantly to my father!
Mickey was the first nurse who came in and spoke to my dad as well. She was so sweet and helpful. Floyd, the maintenance worker, helped by beginning the unloading process while we were helping my dad get settled. My dad was so worried, and so was I, to be honest. But the staff at this beautifully kept facility are amazing. I’m really excited for my dad’s experience and opportunity here.
Thank you for providing such wonderful people to care for him. And I would love for someone to recognize Lee for his hard work and help. That man is a beautiful human who was so kind!

Thank you, again.
